About Naraka: Bladepoint

In the world of FPS and TPS, Naraka: Bladepoint has to be the only Battle Royale to feature melee combat and a parkour system. Despite not having a lot of servers, the game is played by millions. And there is a solid reason for that. No other BR offers what Naraka offers. The fights, the aesthetic, the movement. Everything is different from a traditional BR title. The game is by NetEase Game and is free-to-play too.

Why Ping Matters in Naraka

Despite having melee as the only method of combat, ping is surprisingly important in Naraka: Bladepoint. The melee system is all about timing. If you have high ping then you won't be able to time things right. The combat of Naraka relies heavily upon parries, counters, and combos, and you should know what a second of delay would cause. Anything above 70ms is not recommended.

Optimal Network Settings

Start by making sure that your Firewall is not blocking the game, as it tends to do with a lot of NetEase games. Using a wired connection for BR games is always recommended over WiFi. Finally, the most important part, make sure you have selected the best server for your connection and make sure that your ping is good enough on that server.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

In case of High Server Latency in Naraka: 1) Use our tool to figure out how much ping you 'actually' are getting on the server you are playing on. 2) Naraka servers might be down. Quickly check if thats the case. 3) Flush your dns once and see if it helps. 4) Close VPNs.

Naraka Network FAQ

What is a good ping for Naraka?

If you are looking to play competitively, you should aim for under 60ms. Pro players typically play at under 30ms. Just make sure that your ping doesn't go above 120ms as it will negatively impact gameplay.

Does tick rate affect my experience?

Naraka operates at 60Hz. Higher tick rates lead to more responsive hit registration. Your actions and how quickly they are registered in-game are determined by your ping and tick rate combined.

Which server region should I choose?

Use our Ping Test tool to figure out your latency with all the regions, and pick the one with the lowest.

How can I reduce my ping?

Pick a wired Ethernet connection if you can, as WiFi tend to bring a lot of connection issues. Fiber connections are better than the traditional ones. Close applications that are hogging all your bandwidth. If you are going to use a WiFi router, just make sure you have QoS enabled on it. Trying Cloudflare or Google DNS can help in a lot of cases.
