How it works

We test round-trips (HTTPS) from your browser to AWS/Cloudflare or Game server endpoints if they're public or published by the developers. The first request is warmup, and then consecutive requests (upto 5) are used to make out an average. Browser tests usually add some latency, so in-game is usually lower.

Avg:
Avg trip time. This is what creates the ranking and how well your connection is doing.
Jitter:
How much the ping jumps across tests. Under 10 ms is smooth and acceptable.
Failed:
Requests to some servers might fail. We ignore these tests in results.
Grade:
Combined average of all tests across all mentioned servers.

About EA Sports FC 27

Another year, another FC game. EA Sports FC 27 is the flavor of 2026. Just like the '26 version, FC 27 is a football simulation game made by EA. The game features extremely realistic gameplay both online and offline. This time, the game features hugely improved ball physics and the player models have also been improved a lot. It is no secret that if you want a high-intensity competitive football game then FC games are your answer, and FC 27 doesn't disappoint. Just like the previous version, players get access to FUT, Seasons, and different Clubs. And all of this is supported by EA's dedicated servers spread all across the globe.

Why Ping Matters in FC 27

One cannot deny that football games can be extremely competitive. Even more than FPS games sometimes. And the situation isn't any different in the case of FC 27. If you have high ping the game will feel extremely sluggish. Not only that, good luck with passing, tackling, dribbling, and shooting on high ping. If one thing can make you lose matches over everything else, it is probably high ping. In fact, when playing online, if your opponent notices that you are lagging all around the field, then they might report you thinking that you are using some sort of exploit. So, whenever you are playing online, especially Ultimate Team and Division Rivals, make sure your ping is below 60ms.

Optimal Network Settings

Enable all the in-game Telemetry from the visual settings to monitor your Ping and Packet Loss before you start playing your matches. This will help you figure out if your Ping is high or if you have normal ping but getting packet loss. Rubberbanding is mainly caused by packet loss. Make sure you are using a wired connection and your NAT Type is at least Moderate.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Fixing Connection issues in EA FC 27: 1) Start by checking EA Help to see if the servers are under maintenance or not. If they are, then you have your answer. 2) If the servers are up and running, then use our real-time ping test tool to check your ping across all regions. If your ping is appearing to be red on all the servers, then there is something wrong with your internet connection. 3) Turn off your router, wait for 5 minutes, and turn it back on. This will clear all the disruptions present in your connection. 4) Make sure you are not running any demanding app in the background that is sucking up all the bandwidth. If you have a lot of tabs open on your browser, or have a video running on your browser, then sometimes that can cause lag. 5) Make sure that your NAT Type is either Open or Moderate. You will run into all sorts of issues if you have Closed NAT. 6) You can try using Cloudflare DNS(1.1.1.1) or Google DNS(8.8.8.8) in your DNS settings. 7) Make sure you are not running any VPN in the background.

FC 27 Network FAQ

What is a good ping for FC 27?

If you are looking to play competitively, you should aim for under 45ms. Pro players typically play at under 22ms. Just make sure that your ping doesn't go above 90ms as it will negatively impact gameplay.

Does tick rate affect my experience?

FC 27 operates at 60Hz (Match Host) / 30Hz. Higher tick rates lead to more responsive hit registration. Your actions and how quickly they are registered in-game are determined by your ping and tick rate combined.

Which server region should I choose?

Use our Ping Test tool to figure out your latency with all the regions, and pick the one with the lowest.

How can I reduce my ping?

Pick a wired Ethernet connection if you can, as WiFi tend to bring a lot of connection issues. Fiber connections are better than the traditional ones. Close applications that are hogging all your bandwidth. If you are going to use a WiFi router, just make sure you have QoS enabled on it. Trying Cloudflare or Google DNS can help in a lot of cases.
