About Lost Ark

Made by Smilegate RPG and made available to the whole West by Amazon Games, Lost Ark is a MMO ARPG that is all about great variety of classes, extremely fast-paced combat, awesome Raids, and deep character progression. The game is currently free-to-play with servers spread across EU, NA, and South America.

Why Ping Matters in Lost Ark

The endgame in Lost Ark is pretty intense. The game has one of the most complex and demanding raid mechanics in any MMO title out there. In a lot of these raids, you are required to constantly be on your toes and react to certain mechanics in a blink of an eye. If your actions are delayed due to high ping then there is a high chance that you will fail the raid for your entire team. Try to maintain your ping below 100ms at all times.

Optimal Network Settings

When making your character in Lost Ark, you need to make sure that you are selecting the closest region from your location. The game doesn't allow players to shift regions once the character has been created. Your best bet would be to quickly check your ping using our tool and then select the best region accordingly. Then you can proceed to monitor your ping from the settings menu.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Fixing Lost Ark Connection issues: 1) Start by checking the status of Amazon Game Services. If they are down then you have no other choice but to wait. 2) Make sure to pick the server with the lowest ping. 3) If you are using any VPN or server router app then make sure to close them. 4) Try flushing your DNS by opening CMD and typing 'ipconfig /flushdns'. 5) If nothing works then forward ports UDP 27000-27036 and TCP 27015-27036. Use our Port Forwarding guide to know how to do that.

Lost Ark Network FAQ

What is a good ping for Lost Ark?

If you are looking to play competitively, you should aim for under 80ms. Pro players typically play at under 40ms. Just make sure that your ping doesn't go above 160ms as it will negatively impact gameplay.

Does tick rate affect my experience?

Lost Ark operates at Server-based. Higher tick rates lead to more responsive hit registration. Your actions and how quickly they are registered in-game are determined by your ping and tick rate combined.

Which server region should I choose?

Use our Ping Test tool to figure out your latency with all the regions, and pick the one with the lowest.

How can I reduce my ping?

Pick a wired Ethernet connection if you can, as WiFi tend to bring a lot of connection issues. Fiber connections are better than the traditional ones. Close applications that are hogging all your bandwidth. If you are going to use a WiFi router, just make sure you have QoS enabled on it. Trying Cloudflare or Google DNS can help in a lot of cases.
