How it works

We test round-trips (HTTPS) from your browser to AWS/Cloudflare or Game server endpoints if they're public or published by the developers. The first request is warmup, and then consecutive requests (upto 5) are used to make out an average. Browser tests usually add some latency, so in-game is usually lower.

Avg:
Avg trip time. This is what creates the ranking and how well your connection is doing.
Jitter:
How much the ping jumps across tests. Under 10 ms is smooth and acceptable.
Failed:
Requests to some servers might fail. We ignore these tests in results.
Grade:
Combined average of all tests across all mentioned servers.

About The Division Resurgence

The Division series has always known to be one of the best Tactical RPG Shooters of all time. The Divison Resurgence, made by Ubisoft, incorporates the same formula, but this time for mobile devices. The game is set in post-apocalyptic New York, where your job is to, just like other Division games, explore the world and eliminate enemies for loot.

Why Ping Matters in Division Resurgence

The Division Resurgence is a game where you cannot just run around the map, shooting your enemies. You need to know when to take cover and when to peek to time your shots. You have to constanly hop in and out of cover to increase your chances of winning. With High Ping, the speed at which you do that is decreased. On top of that, there is the problem of rubberbanding and hit registration. Not to mention, you will most likely be mowed down immediately if you are not timing your dodges and shots right inside the Dark Zone. Therefore, below 70ms ping is recommended.

Optimal Network Settings

Using a stable 5Ghz wifi connection and picking the server region closest to your location are the best things you can do in order to ensure smooth and lag free gameplay.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Fixing High Ping issues in The Division Resurgence: 1) Use the our ping tool to check your ping on all the servers. If your ping is high on just a single server then you can just wait it out. But if your ping is high on all the servers then you can try switching between your Wifi and Mobile data to see which one gives the best results. 2) You can try restarting your router and your mobile device.

Division Resurgence Network FAQ

What is a good ping for Division Resurgence?

If you are looking to play competitively, you should aim for under 70ms. Pro players typically play at under 35ms. Just make sure that your ping doesn't go above 140ms as it will negatively impact gameplay.

Does tick rate affect my experience?

Division Resurgence operates at Server-based. Higher tick rates lead to more responsive hit registration. Your actions and how quickly they are registered in-game are determined by your ping and tick rate combined.

Which server region should I choose?

Use our Ping Test tool to figure out your latency with all the regions, and pick the one with the lowest.

How can I reduce my ping?

Pick a wired Ethernet connection if you can, as WiFi tend to bring a lot of connection issues. Fiber connections are better than the traditional ones. Close applications that are hogging all your bandwidth. If you are going to use a WiFi router, just make sure you have QoS enabled on it. Trying Cloudflare or Google DNS can help in a lot of cases.
