About Arc Raiders

Featuring an unique blend of PvP and PvE elements, Arc Raiders is the brand new extraction shooter developed my Embark Studios. Your job is to take down AI-controlled Arc enemies while dealing with real players side-by-side, and secure the best possible loot. Arc Raiders uses Google Cloud network with over 15 servers globally.

Why Ping Matters in Arc Raiders

Since Arc Raiders in an extraction shooter, your job to deal with PvE and PvP enemies equally. For doing that efficiently you need to have low ping. High ping will put you into disadvantage against other PvP players. If you have hit registration issues, then you will most likely end up losing your fights and lose all your loot in the process. Try to aim for anything under 60ms.

Optimal Network Settings

Since the matchmaking system of Arc Raiders picks the best server possible for your connection automatically, use our ping test tool and see how much ping you are getting on that server. Using a wired connection is highly recommended. Make sure your firewall is not blocking the game.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Troubleshooting high ping issues in Arc Raiders: 1) Using our real-time diagnostic tool check if you are getting high ping on all servers or not. If you are, then there might be some issue with your internet connection. 2) Give your router a quick restart. 3) Make sure you are not using any sort of VPN. 4) Eliminate ongoing downloads or updates.

Arc Raiders Network FAQ

What is a good ping for Arc Raiders?

If you are looking to play competitively, you should aim for under 60ms. Pro players typically play at under 30ms. Just make sure that your ping doesn't go above 120ms as it will negatively impact gameplay.

Does tick rate affect my experience?

Arc Raiders operates at 60Hz. Higher tick rates lead to more responsive hit registration. Your actions and how quickly they are registered in-game are determined by your ping and tick rate combined.

Which server region should I choose?

Use our Ping Test tool to figure out your latency with all the regions, and pick the one with the lowest.

How can I reduce my ping?

Pick a wired Ethernet connection if you can, as WiFi tend to bring a lot of connection issues. Fiber connections are better than the traditional ones. Close applications that are hogging all your bandwidth. If you are going to use a WiFi router, just make sure you have QoS enabled on it. Trying Cloudflare or Google DNS can help in a lot of cases.
